Daily life in space

It is the 9Th of December 2010. I have 6 more days in space. It is morning and we are all eating at the table. Today for breakfast we are going to have cornflakes. We strap it to the table tight and start eating. Some of our cornflakes starts to float.
When I go to the toilet I have to hold myself down on the seat. It is quite tough.
I have already fixed tandem an solo guide and today I am going to fix Dexter to complete the mission. The time is 11:59am and I am going to do some exercises. We have machines that are a bit like bikes and on the machines you have to pedal a lot.

The time is 1:31pm. I have been training for 1 and a half hours. I am now going to try and complete my mission. It is going to take an hour to get to Dexter the satellite. Dexter is now only 2km away. I am getting into my space suit to go out there and fix Dexter.

When I fix Dexter it will take about 2 hours. I am now outside the space shuttle and I am heading towards Dexter. Dexter's telescope is 30cm wide and 50cm high. I am carrying the new telescope for Dexter. I am taking Dexter's old telescope out and putting the new one in. The new telescope fits perfectly. I have now fixed Dexter's telescope and I am now heading back to the space ship. Controller Ryan Wilson is is having a nap to save his energy for later as for John Vergeer he was fooling around with his food and refused to eat the biscuit. When it was dinner John ate all the Chocolate biscuits. Ryan and I only had vegetables and no desert. John went to his sleeping bag on the wall and started to settle down. When we sleep we have a special sleeping bag attached to the wall and so does John. John snuck some food into his sleeping bag and he took some Pringles. I was writing in my space journal and will continue writing in it when we get back on Earth.

The return to Earth

It is December the 15th 2010. It has been 13 days in space and my bones are soft from the zero gravity. The space ship is sad because he has had a tough journey the last 15 days. I am sad that we have to leave space but at least when we go back to earth we will have gravity. We have made one orbit around the Earth and have started falling back to Earth.We use our thrust carefully to glide back to Earth. We will try and land in Kazakhstan.

We start entering the atmosphere, the ship starts to get as hot as lava. I start to sweat. We make it through the atmosphere and are thousands of feet above land.
We get a lot closer to land and let go the parachute. We float back to Earth but still going quite fast. At that very moment we touched Earth's surface and was back on Earth.

The mission

Hi! My name is Mias and come from England and South Africa. It is December the 1st 2010. My mission is to fix three satellites in space.The three satellites are called Tandem,Solo guide and Dexter. The first one was hit badly by an asteroid. The second one has a few loose wires and of the last one the telescope broke. This mission is very risky but life is full of risks.

I will complete this mission with the help of the controller Ryan Wilson and assistant controller John Vergeer.

I will be traveling on Tendem 4. Tendem 4 is supposed to be the new high tech Space ship.Tendem four is the new generation of future space ships. I am confident that I will complete this mission very carefully.

The fantastic launch!

It is December the 2nd 2010. Today I am going to launch into space. I am changing in the changing room. The spacesuit raps around me tight. I start to get nervous about the launch. I walk to the space ship suddenly the nervousness flows out of me. I am suddenly full of excitement. The space ship is as tall as the Eiffel tower. I got into the space ship. The buttons and controls glow like stars. The space ship is called Tendem 4.



I am the captain of the space ship followed by controller Ryan Wilson and assistant controller John Vergeer. I am launching at NASA in Houston.
We have started the count down for the launch,10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 we have lift of!
Everybody starts shouting and screaming.
In the rocket it feels like a roller coaster. We make it through the atmosphere and the rocket starts to settle down.
